Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn

A Music-First Neighborhood Bar

Opening Spring 2026: a two-room venue built for great listening, easy hospitality, and weeknight culture.

A Neighborhood Bar Built Around Live Music

POPS is a Bed-Stuy bar and music venue for musicians, neighbors, and people who want an intimate room with real sound and reliable service.

It runs between social bar energy and focused listening-room programming, depending on the night.

One Venue, Two Modes

Front Bar Room

The everyday room for walk-ins, food and drink, conversation, and casual sets.

Back Music Room

A listening-focused room for intimate shows, artist-led nights, and private events.

The rooms can run together as one flow or separately when a program needs focus.

Weeknight Programming Is the Core

A normal week includes:

Some events are ticketed; many run on suggested donation.

Designed for Listening and Easy Setups

Both rooms are tuned for clear listening at practical volume. Performers get straightforward load-in, clean stage flow, and staff who understand how live sets actually run.

Simple Menu, Strong Execution

A short menu of well-made classics, local beer, and practical food. Service stays friendly, fast, and consistent.

Built by Working Musicians

POPS is owned by Kells Nollenberger and Ryan Tsang. They met as musicians and built this venue around what artists and audiences need from a room: respect, clarity, and consistency. Kells brings operational experience from running a successful hospitality business, plus years of live performance across multiple genres. Together, they are building a place that treats musicians as collaborators and neighbors as regulars.

A Good Neighbor, Built to Last

POPS is designed to run responsibly: controlled sound, respectful operations, and a welcoming room that supports local culture without shutting people out.
